This weekend was low key. Brad and I usually try to go out by ourselves on Friday nights, but some weeks I feel like I've been gone a little more than others. So this weekend we stayed in, took the kids to eat Hibachi, and watched a couple of movies after they went to bed.

I think we just skipped winter altogether. The ice-cream truck has already started coming. In February. Actually, to a pregnant girl, the ice-cream truck is not so much a dreaded thing anymore. Beckham agrees...
He thinks you should get a tweety-bird ice cream bar too...

Beckham kisses are not as common as they used to be. He used to love LOVE to give out kisses on request any time. Now he gets so tickled when you ask for them. He cuts his eyes at you sideways and says with a sly grin, "No!" Then I beg and pretend to cry and beg some more. And he tells me no again...
Raya approached the challenge a different way this weekend. She held on to him while he ate his ice cream and BEGGED him not to kiss her with his messy, sticky mouth. I'll have to try that one...

After ice cream on Friday, the village was outside.

Saturday after Brad finished studying, we took a big family trip to the wonderland of ... wait for it... the Big Miskelly's tent sale in Pearl. I was looking for an office chair, and we took the opportunity to let the kids ride a carousel, get some balloons, and eat a hot dog.
Beckham found his dream bed and tried it out...
And JB found hers...
The bunk beds were also an attraction...

Sunday afternoon was lazy, just like I like them. We sat outside, soaked up the sun, and the kids met a new neighbor.
Can you hear me shuddering? I was not a fan of our new neighbor-hamster. Those red beady eyes were just a little too mouse-like. JB, on the other hand... Huge fan.
I hope your week is as happy as a tweety-bird bar... or a mouse-looking hamster :)
